SuiNS, a domain service in the Sui ecosystem, announced on August 9th that it will be restructuring into a decentralized protocol. This new protocol will allow users to participate in governance through the use of the NS token. 57% of the NS tokens will be allocated to the treasury, providing funding for additional features, support, and maintenance of the SuiNS platform. 28% of the tokens will be distributed to core contributors and early supporters, while 10% will go to community members interacting with the SuiNS protocol. Finally, 5% of the NS tokens will be reserved for future users who actively participate in the governance of SuiNS.
